Why this policy exists. Lendline relies on regulated telecommunications carriers to deliver your calls and messages. These carriers, and the laws of every country in which numbers are issued, set strict rules about what is and is not permitted. By using Lendline, you agree to these rules. Violations harm other users, our carriers, and the integrity of the phone network.
01. General principles
You may use Lendline for any lawful personal or business purpose. You may not use Lendline to do anything that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or that violates the rights of others.
You are responsible for everything that happens on a number registered to your account, including the actions of anyone you allow to use that number. If you transfer a number to another Lendline user, the new owner becomes responsible from the moment they accept the transfer.
02. Illegal activity
You may not use Lendline to engage in, plan, facilitate, or promote any activity that violates the law in any jurisdiction in which the activity occurs or has effects, including but not limited to:
- Any activity prohibited by applicable telecommunications law or regulation
- Any activity that violates the law of the country whose phone number you are using
- Trafficking of illegal goods, controlled substances, or weapons
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion
- Child sexual abuse material or exploitation of minors in any form
- Human trafficking or coerced labor
03. Fraud and deception
You may not use Lendline to deceive, defraud, or harm others, including:
- Phishing, smishing, or attempting to obtain confidential information through deception
- Impersonating any person, business, or organization, including by misrepresenting the identity of the sender of a call or message
- Spoofing caller ID, sender ID, or any other identifier in a misleading way
- Schemes designed to take over accounts that do not belong to you
- Bypassing the verification, fraud prevention, or security controls of any third-party platform
- Creating, registering, or operating accounts on third-party services in violation of those services' terms
- Reselling, gifting, or transferring access to third-party accounts in violation of those services' terms
- Pump-and-dump schemes, romance scams, advance fee fraud, fake job offers, and similar fraud schemes
- SIM swap fraud or any other attempt to take over the account of another person
04. Harmful content
You may not use Lendline to send, store, or facilitate content that is:
- Hateful, harassing, threatening, or that incites violence against any person or group
- Defamatory, libelous, or that violates the privacy or publicity rights of others
- Sexually explicit material involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers minors
- Designed to stalk, intimidate, or harm another person
05. Network and security abuse
You may not:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Lendline or any system without our express permission
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to overload the Service or the underlying networks
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
- Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code
- Use Lendline to participate in or facilitate denial-of-service attacks
- Engage in artificial inflation of traffic ("SMS pumping", "toll fraud", or "international revenue sharing fraud") to generate fraudulent revenue
- Use Lendline numbers to call or message premium-rate numbers in ways that generate revenue you are not entitled to
06. Restricted commerce
Some commercial activities require special licensing or are prohibited by carriers regardless of legality. You may not use Lendline for:
- High-risk financial services such as payday loans, short-term high-interest loans, debt collection, or third-party loan generation
- Cryptocurrency promotion to recipients who have not given prior express written consent
- Gambling without verified age-gating and applicable licensing
- Sale of tobacco, vaping products, alcohol, firearms, or controlled substances without applicable verification
- Adult content or services without appropriate age-gating and only where lawful
- Sale, lease, or licensing of phone numbers themselves on a standalone basis (you may transfer ownership of a Lendline number to another Lendline user as part of the Service, but you may not operate a standalone number resale business using Lendline as a backend)
07. Consent and unsolicited contact
Lendline is intended primarily for inbound communication: receiving calls and messages from people who already know your number. If you use Lendline to send outbound messages or calls, you must:
- Have prior express consent from every recipient, in compliance with applicable law (TCPA in the US, PECR in the UK, similar laws elsewhere)
- Identify yourself clearly in every communication
- Honor opt-out requests immediately and permanently
- Comply with all carrier-imposed registration requirements (such as A2P 10DLC in the US) for the type of traffic you send
- Never send unsolicited bulk messages of any kind
08. Enforcement
We monitor the Service for compliance with this policy. When we detect a violation, we may take any of the following actions, with or without prior notice:
- Issue a warning
- Suspend the affected number or account
- Terminate the affected number or account
- Refuse to allow a transfer of an affected number
- Cooperate with law enforcement and disclose information as required by law
- Pursue legal action to recover damages, including charges and penalties imposed by carriers as a result of the violation
The severity of our response will depend on the seriousness of the violation, your history with the Service, and any other relevant factors. Severe violations (illegal content, fraud, exploitation of minors) result in immediate termination without notice and may be reported to authorities.
09. Reporting abuse
If you believe a Lendline number has been used in violation of this policy, or if you have received unwanted communication from a Lendline number, please report it to abuse@lendline.com. We investigate every report.
