A phone number is a piece of regulated infrastructure. Here is how we handle the responsibility that comes with operating one on your behalf.
Every Lendline number is provisioned through licensed telecommunications carriers and tier-one cloud communications providers. We do not operate as a carrier ourselves. This means your number is a real, regulated phone line subject to the same standards as any other line issued in its country.
We honor and enforce the acceptable use policies of every carrier we work with, including content restrictions, anti-fraud rules, and consent requirements for outbound traffic.
For US numbers used to send application-to-person messages, we comply with the A2P 10DLC framework set by the US carrier industry, including brand and campaign registration where applicable.
Our Acceptable Use Policy requires that any outbound communication sent through Lendline complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, PECR, and equivalent consent laws in the recipient's country.
For countries that require identity verification of the line holder (much of continental Europe, parts of Asia and Latin America), we collect and submit the required regulatory bundles before activating a number.
We process personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, the UK Data Protection Act, and equivalent laws. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We do not provide service to individuals or entities subject to comprehensive sanctions programs (OFAC SDN list, EU sanctions list, UK sanctions list, and equivalents).
We take abuse seriously because every violation puts the entire service at risk. Our enforcement workflow has three stages.
We monitor traffic patterns for signs of abuse: unusual volumes, sudden geographic shifts, suspected SMS pumping, and reports from carriers and recipients. We also accept reports from anyone at abuse@lendline.com.
When we receive a credible signal, we investigate. Depending on the severity, this may include reviewing account metadata, contacting the account holder, or temporarily suspending traffic on the affected number.
If we confirm a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy, the response is proportional to the offense. Minor first-time issues result in a warning. Repeated or serious violations result in suspension or termination. Severe violations (illegal content, fraud, exploitation) result in immediate termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect the Service and your data:
We publish service status updates and post-incident reports for any disruption that affects more than a small percentage of users. We believe operators of communication infrastructure owe their users a transparent record.
